What is an Acceptable CTR? - Thirty Day Challenge Forums:

OK so that is a fairly low traffic site for nearly 3 weeks. A couple of things you want to be looking at: Slipperyness - the % that actually click on the link to the money page. Your slipperyness is 4.4% which suggests the copy on your hosting platform is not 'speaking' to your target. So you need to improve that. You then want (using 'Ed's Bad Numbers') at least one sale in 200 visits to your money page. You only have 17 so far.

So with such low traffic in your market I would be doing this:
a) Improve the content on your hosting platform to improve slipperyness - and monitor this - say after 3 days see if it's improved.
b) Allow it to tick along by itself to reach the 200 views of the money page - possibly add a few more links to it each week to keep Google happy that it's a 'live' site (you didn't mention the traffic size of the market or where you are sitting in the SERPS results?)
c) Begin testing another niche.

Just to re-iterate - we recommend that 30DCers begin their Hosting Platform with NO links.THEN when you have been indexed by Google (and approved by the hosting platform) introduce ONE link.Over time add more than one ONLY if it is natural to do so.We recommend this as a 'rule of thumb' because unfortunately what we did see were 30DCer having posts/content that was riddled with links. And many have been wondering why they got banned from Hub or Squidoo - this is often the reason. So slowly and surely wins the day.And Mike is right - down the track - you can have ONE link per post - if your platform is constructed that way.Remember - Slowly & Surely Wins The Day when it comes to putting links on your hosting platform.
